We're Clean and More!

>> Sunday, November 15, 2009

I thought she might forget about me if I hid under a chair but no such luck. Mom was bound and determined I was going to the groomer with Maddie. Do I look like I need a bath? Of course not. Guess I look like a Maddiesitter though. Hmmph! I decided I might as well get into the car and go willingly. There was no way to get out of the inevitable.

All in all our baths weren't so bad but when we got home Maddie and I were both tired pups. After all, we didn't sleep a wink in those stupid cages. Wouldn't you think Mom would let us rest a little before she started in on something else? No! Of course not.

She wanted us to pose us in a chair to get a picture of our sparkling clean little bodies. I tried to ignore Mom but she wouldn't give up. Maddie actually had to give me a lecture. "Quit chewing your toes and cooperate," Maddie told me.
"Hmmph!" I said again.

Finally, out of desperation, I threw in the towel and sat next to Maddie just to get the picture taking over with. What's a dog to do when her mother is obsessive compulsive? Not a darn thing except what I did. We do look sort of cute, don't we? Don't tell Maddie, but she's a little balder than usual. The girl's going to need a hat on her little clipped head!

But the best thing of all about that whole day was that Mom got the Heartfelt Award from Oklahoma Granny. She received it because of how much she loves animals. I guess it's okay to be obsessive compulsive about somethings...right?

Mom will be sharing this award soon!

Baths are NO FUN & then having to get your pictures taken, hrmph. Doesn't seem fair to me!

Baths are loads of fun! When Mom gets out the hose, I go bonkers! She got it out yesterday, and I thought we were going to have fun. But instead she sprayed her stupid horse! Maybe I'll get my turn next...

I like that your momma love you both so much. I think that's wonderful but sorry for the bath.

Would it make you feel better to know I have 6 pups and they all need a bath this week? I have to do it myself so they will pay me back by giving me 6 showers when they shake off the water.

Many hugs and pets to you.

What a day for you Maddie and Annabelle!
However you both look so adorable sitting together in that chair! Annabelle you were such a good sport to go with your sister.
I agree that you both need some extra sleep now to make up for all that you lost by sitting in those dang cages. I always thought dog spas were supposed to have some comfort!
sweet dreams

Being groomed is tiring work. But you both look wonderful and soooo cute. Your mom loves you a lot so it is good you put up with a bath once in a while. Nice posing job.

This is Tubby writing in place of my mom. As cats Ozzy and me never get baths. We get some sort of smelly stuff sprayed on us. HUH! Mom thinks she can just grab us and spray. We fooled her though. We saw the can come out and we hid.
But maybe we aren't so smart because mom waved tuna in the air and I caved in. Then she waved chicken in the air and Ozzy got sprayed. I wonder who is smarter?

Congrats on the award. Poor girls, they just don't look very happy about getting their pictures taken. lol

Rest up girls, all will be well as soon as roll around outside again.
