I'm a children's author. Animals are a constant source of writing material for me. They are also my heart!

Hey There!

>> Saturday, April 24, 2010

Our friend Tweedles just emailed me to ask me if I was tired of blogging. The answer to the question is a big NO! I told Tweedles that I feel guilty putting up a new post before I've commented on each and every one of your blogs...even though I DO read them. I would post everyday if I thought you wouldn't get sick of me!

MADDIE

Your blogs are all so beautiful and I love looking at all your wonderful photos and reading about your stories. When I first started this blog it was to connect with people like you and that's exactly what I've done.
ANNABELLE
As most of you know, I have two dogs now. Maddie and Annabelle. I lost my third dog last year...Kelly. Maddie is the only dog I have that isn't a rescue. She's a King Charles Spaniel. As most of you know, I have a horse named Tango. What you probably don't know is that I now have another horse named Tantra.

TANGO
I'm very involved in animal rescue. I was supposed to get in another Newfoundland this week, but it turned out the dog was an outdoor dog, so he went to another foster home. If you click on the google ads from my page, any money I earn goes towards my animal rescue...it amounts to just a few dollars, but it helps pay for food.

TANTRA

Oh! Here's something I just found out: Starting April 30th you can buy stamps at the post office that help to buy food for shelter pets. You can pre-order them online. I think this would be a great thing to spread around. http://stampstotherescue.com/thecampaign.asp
That's about it from me today. Now I'm going to go read your blogs! I'm going to get better at the photo thing really soon..I promise!

I'm like you--I love to read the blogs and feel guilty when time doesn't allow me to get to everyone's on some days. However I have to admit that I try to find the balance between "just reading posts" and not leaving a comment each time because I don't want to wear out my welcome! :-))

I will do the stamp thing, since I'm ready for some new ones. And please don't feel you have to comment because when you follow A LOT of them (like we do), it's really almost impossible.

The picture of you and Tango is one I've not seen before.

There are several stamps that money goes elsewhere. The first was Breast Cancer I think. You can make stamps, been thinking I should make one for Bridge and Beyond...which reminds me, we need to change your badge; it's the old one with the old title.

I am beyond tired, 11.0 day; well that's what I got paid for but was there 11.5, don't get paid for my one meaker half hour break. Not enough for that long.

Gotta go sit where I can put these legs, dangling here at the computer, not good.

Wine, and bed

Don't forget the 'click to give' sites. One of tabs is for food for shelter animals.

Tell us more about Tantra! Lovely.

I'm trying so hard to just keep up with everyone's blog. Also I plan on blogging more often, now that things are finally settling down around here. Of course with the puppy come, what does settling down really mean? Hmmm.

I so would have taken the Newfie.

I put a new pic of Alvin up today. He is moving a picture. Guess he don't like the way I hang stuff around here! LOL.

I did large animal rescue with the horses. Boohoo hoo I miss them. 8 years of it. I loved the ones I kept but it saddens you in the heart that someone can do that to an animal. The rehab on a horse is near impossible because they are already a "flight" creature! It can be done, I did it three times.

I did not know you did Animal rescue but it is really neat that you do! Any more Newfie's send them down here! LOL. Doc would kill me!

Cool story as for me. I'd like to read something more about this topic. The only thing your blog needs is some photos of any devices.
