A Lovely View

>> Thursday, February 3, 2011

I was waiting at the back door and watching for cardinals when I realized I had the best view of all right in front of me. I put on my boots and jacket and joined my crew just to breathe in the frosty air. We stayed out long enough to awaken our senses to the most sincere of all winters that I can remember. I can honestly say that time seemed to stand still, even if only for a moment. Wishing for spring seemed like wasting precious days of our lives.
"To appreciate the beauty of a snowflake, it is necessary to stand out in the snow."

I ♥ your quote. I, too, enjoy all of winter. Blizzards are my favorite - spent by the fireplace with hot cocoa littered with tiny marshmallows, a cat on my lap and a couple of dogs at my feet.

It is so nice to meet you!

Did you catch a snowflake in your paws?
Did you sniff the frosty air?

Mother Earth is sharing her most awsome shows of all!

And I too,,, loved your quote

Oh Yes, We need to live in the moment and enjoy the view because it can be so fleeting.

Wonderful quote, Jan. I think we are so fortunate to have seasons to enjoy. When I was little and we lived in Puerto Rico, we didn't have any change from one day to the next, and it's nowhere near as lovely. To me, at least.

I love this. That is the best view of all. And then even better when they come inside and snuggle with you!

Love the quote and the photo! Around here we wish for tax season to end which seems to waste nearly 25% of the year. Looking for joy every day should be more important than wishing the days pass more quickly.

The view through the window is awesome! Today we have a new blanket, smoothed by the wind... of course, I haven't been out in the 12 degree temp yet!

Nice picture. But, as you know I am one is and has been wishing for Spring ever since winter hit. I'm keeping busy doing things and trying to ignore the weather as much as I can. I really don't enjoy it. Looking forward to up coming warm weather vacations. We've got'em lined up. Somehow we feel better knowing there ready and waiting for us.

Aruba is next....most excited, as we've not been there before.

Myrtle Beach, haven't been there before either.

Park City Utah, been there back when we liked winter and skied; but going in summer to enjoy the mountains in warm weather.

And Palm Desert, CA in the fall to stretch summer a bit longer.

The suitcase has been busy planning and scheduling.

Hugs
Sandy
