Great News!

It was a happy day and a sad day for Alexa.
My granddaughter got attached to Tipper very quickly.
Networking surely pays off! Today Tipper went home with a family who has one calm child and a fenced yard. Thanks to all of you who helped to spread the word for me and wished us good luck.
Better yet...there are three other families waiting in line if Tipper doesn't work out for the first family. One of the families wants me to email them all the dog postings that come through my email. What an awesome thing to have loving people waiting for homeless dogs. Having Tipper with us was good in more ways than one.
I'm smiling from ear to ear. Three cheers for Tipper!
P.S. I had Tipper's new owners sign a contract stating that they would provide a loving home and vet care. In addition, if it doesn't work out with them, the contract states that Tipper will come back here. I don't want Tipper to ever be in the sad situation that she was before. Do you think I'm obsessed?

I was just reading Tipper's story when I saw the follow up post--What a great ending!! Three cheers for Tipper finding a new forever home, and a toast to YOU for making it all possible!!! :-))))
PS: I think the contract was a good idea--I would have done it too!! It leaves the door open and gives the family an "out" if needed!!
obsessed....lol yeah, but we all are pick a topic.
Good news indeed, a home for Tipper. How did you connect with someone?
Sandy
What wonderful news! I am so happy for tipper...a loving home. And I understand your grand daughter's attachment. Dogs are so filled with joy and they love to spread it to any human that gives them some love too. Bless you for helping Tipper live a long happy life!!!
This story has such a happiness.
If it were not for YOU, this may have been sad.
I don't believe this is the ending to this beautiful story.
You see, all of you , hubby and grandkids, unselfishly showed love to Tipper.
Tipper will never forget the love and caring and fun times playing with Maddie and Annabelle.
No, its not an ending- it just will add to the love of Tippers life.
How could you have walked away? I know you couldn't and didn't.
xoxoxo
You are not obsessed...you just know the truth of dog ownership. Thank you for caring when most wouldn't.
I also thank you for your wonderful love of animals! I am crying tears of joy!
No, you're not obsessed... just caring!
THats such a great ending for a special lady and a very sweet dog!!!
I agree. You're not obsessed, just a caring human being! I do hope it all works out well for Tipper and this family.
Great Job!
What a happy ending - Tipper gets a home!
No we don't think you are being obsessed! We think you are looking out for Tipper's best interest and a happy life.
It's obvious how much you love animals and if we as humans don't look after them then who will?
Thanks for sharing that beautiful ending with us.
Luv,
Riley and Star.
Obsessed? Maybe, but in a very good way. I would have wanted a contract too. I pray it works out well for everyone.
All our animals are adopted with a contract that if for any reason they can not keep them they must be returned to pawzforthought. Or it could happen they would get passed around or end up worse. So obsessed no you are not. We have quite a few stipulations people who are genuine do not mind they understand the reasons.
Your news made my day!
Hopefully the three other families that wanted to adopt Tipper will go to their local shelters and give some other dog a chance.
Hooray for Tipper! Hooray for you! thank you for all you do for the animals!
Not obsessed...but animal blessed..I had to sign the same contract with every rescue of mine. You are wonderful. Always..
Superb news! And I concur - you're not obsessive at all...
♥
Great picture of your granddaughter. Nice you've found a home. Too bad we can't force people to sign contracts when they have a child; maybe they'd take better care of them. Children and pets are a responsibility -- one people should take seriously.

This is great news, and not obsessed at all. Any responsible rescue or person, would have a contract with stipulations on the dogs being returned. Hopefully, this will be her new forever home.
Thank you for doing your part.
Hugs.
